Mark Briscoe Returns On AEW Rampage

Mark Briscoe is back in AEW after four months away

Mark Briscoe has RETURNED to AEW programming. Back in June of 2023, the multi-time ROH World Tag Team Champion was ruled out with a knee injury that required surgery, keeping him out of a scheduled ROH World Championship match with Claudio Castagnoli at the Death Before Dishonor PPV event.

On last night’s episode of AEW Rampage, he made his comeback after four months on the sidelines. Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford cut an in ring promo running down the Philadelphia crowd and their sports teams, only for Mark Briscoe to surprisingly emerge and clean house, dumping Sabian out of the ring following a quick brawl.

Briscoe’s last match was on ROH programming (taped in June but airing the following month on ROH’s streaming platform) in a triple threat match involving JD Drake and Tony Nese, and prior to that his last AEW match was on an episode of Dynamite during a feud with Jeff Jarrett when the pair had a Concession Stand Brawl, which was won by Briscoe.
