Mark Briscoe To Challenge For ROH World Television Title

Mark Briscoe senses gold in them there hills. 

The Sussex County Chicken made an appearance on the March 9 edition of ROH TV on HonorClub to answer Samoa Joe's open challenge for the ROH World Television Championship. Briscoe answered the challenge with a challenge of his own, which was accepted by the former TNT Champion. 

Joe announced an open challenge following his successful title defence against Tony Deppen. Samoa Joe has been ROH World Television Champion since defeating Minoru Suzuki for the belt on the April 13, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite. 

No date was announced for Samoa Joe vs. Mark Briscoe but it is likely the match will take place at Supercard of Honor on Friday, March 31. Already set for that show is the Reach for the Sky Ladder Match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. The Briscoes are the reigning champions but Jay Briscoe tragically passed away in a car accident on January 17. 

Mark's ban from AEW TV was rescinded following Jay's passing and the master of redneck kung fu has wrestled a handful of matches in All Elite Wrestling, including at the Revolution pre-show where he and The Lucha Brothers defeated The Varsity Athletes and Ari Daivari.
