Marko Stunt Thought Name Drop By Christian Cage Was "Kind Of Lame"

Marko Stunt wasn't a fan of being mentioned on AEW Dynamite

Upon making his AEW debut at the promotion's inaugural show Double Or Nothing 2019, Marko Stunt quickly established himself as an important part of Jurassic Express with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Stunt would drift into the background of the stable once Christian Cage was added to Jurassic Express in 2021, though, and Mr. Fun Size disappeared from the faction altogether from September as AEW stopped booking him until his contract expired in May of 2022.

Despite Stunt no longer being a part of the promotion, Christian Cage name-dropped Marko on the June 22 edition of AEW Dynamite while he was trying to calm down Luchasaurus.

Speaking about the moment with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston, Stunt admitted he thought it was "kind of lame."

"I was not aware it was going to be said or anything or that my name was going to be thrown out in any context, because it hasn't been since October. To do it in that context, I thought it was kind of lame. It makes sense, though, in a way. I was part of that group before him and what he's basically saying is, he came in and got me fired. In a story sense, love it. In real life sense [throws hands up], it is what it is, I guess," Stunt said.

Since his AEW exit, Marko has been booked on the independents and he recently faced Masha Slamovich in Game Changer Wrestling. Jurassic Express, meanwhile, has disbanded since Christian Cage turned on Jungle Boy, with Luchasaurus also recently turning heel.
