Masha Slamovich TNA Contract Nearing Expiry

Masha Slamovich’s TNA contract is reportedly expiring, plunging the former Knockouts World Champion’s future into doubt.

A report from Fightful Select suggests that Slamovich had not confirmed whether she’d be re-signing with TNA or exiting the company at the end of her contract, with Slamovich reportedly booked to lose her upcoming rematch against TNA Knockouts World Champion Ash by Elegance at Victory Road.

However, that match is now in question with TNA launching an internal investigation after allegations of domestic abuse were levelled at Slamovich by former partner AKIRA. Whether this investigation will play a part in Slamovich and/or TNA deciding the futre of their working relationship remains to be seen.

There was speculation that WWE decided to not use Slamovich in the recent TNA invasion of NXT on September 23 due to the abuse allegations, however Fightful have stated that Slamovich’s contract situation was seemingly the main factor into WWE not using her as part of the storyline, with Slamovich also not present in the country on September 23. Again, whether WWE seek to cut ties with Slamovich over the abuse allegations remains to be seen.
