Match Advertised For WWE SmackDown 20th Anniversary Show On Fox

October 4 of this year...

WWE SmackDown Live moves from the USA Network to Fox on Friday, October 4 - two days after the weekly AEW TNT show airs for the very first time.

Earlier this week we learned the October 4 SmackDown Live will be a 20th-anniversary show for the blue brand - even though the show aired for the first time on August 26, 1999.

What could be the first match for the event is being advertised locally in Los Angeles. If this isn't merely a placeholder match until the actual card is announced, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston will be facing both Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton in a triple threat match.

Earlier today, it was reported that Vince McMahon went back on a "handshake agreement" with Ziggler regarding The Showoff's WWE future... read more about that here

Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair, and Sting have all been listed on the promotional material for the SmackDown Anniversary show.

Another graphic for the event includes The Undertaker, even though The Deadman is not mentioned alongside the other returning legends.
