Matt Hardy Reveals Scrapped Plans For Willow Cameo During The Firm Deletion

Willow was originally planned for a cameo in the AEW Firm Deletion

While the Firm Deletion that recently aired on AEW Rampage featured plenty of bombastic moments, Matt Hardy has revealed that a cameo from Jeff Hardy's Willow alter-ego was scrapped due to time constraints and poor weather.

"I'm gonna give you a spoiler but I'm not gonna give you a spoiler. There was going to be a Willow cameo in here (Firm Deletion) and it would've been hilarious because you (Isiah Kassidy) know what it was. But we didn't get to do it because of time constraints and weather. So we'll just save it for the next time. But yes, there was going to be a Willow cameo at one point. The Willow moment was gonna be with Stokely (Hathaway) and I promise you, people would have p****d their pants in this moment. So I was really upset we didn't get that in. But you know, it is what it is," Matt said on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast.

The Firm Deletion aired on the May 5 edition of AEW Rampage and saw The Hardys, Isiah Kassidy, and HOOK defeat The Firm's Big Bill, Ethan Page, Lee Moriarty, and Stokely Hathaway. A cut-down version aired on Rampage before the full cut was released on the AEW YouTube channel.

Jeff Hardy has used his Willow persona since his early days in OMEGA Championship Wrestling in 1997 and the alter-ego was featured during Jeff's time in TNA in the 2010s.
