Matt Hardy Taking Some Time Off Following AEW All Out Bump

The Broken One will return once he's had time to heal...

At All Out, Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara's rivalry came to a head as they went one on one in a Broken Rules Match. Hardy suffered a terrible injury only minutes into the bout, however, after he and Sammy took a bump from an elevated scissor lift through two tables. The Broken One's head and shoulders missed the tables and hit the concrete below, knocking him unconscious for 45 seconds.

Matt was cleared to continue the match after being checked by Dr. Sampson but they went straight to the finish in which Sammy fell from some scaffolding and failed to get to his feet before the count of 10.

Hardy addressed his AEW future during last night's episode of Dynamite and thanked every fan in the arena and around the world for the outpouring of love and support he has received since All Out.

The Multifarious One then said he is expected to make a full recovery and he is going to take some time away from TV to recuperate. When he's cleared to return, he plans to work towards being ranked and chasing one of AEW's championships.
