Matt Rehwoldt Clarifies New In-ring Name

After spending much of the last year out of the ring, Matt Rehwoldt (FKA Aiden English) has been booked by two major promotions in the last week. 

A "Drama King" teaser aired during IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary on July 17 and it was later reported that Rehwoldt had signed with the promotion. He will be involved in IMPACT's upcoming Homecoming Tournament as a heel. 

New Japan Pro-Wrestling also announced Rehwoldt would be joining the English commentary team for August 14's Resurgence event as Matt Morris and they teased he could wrestle for the company in the future.

Rehwoldt has now clarified on Twitter why he has two different in-ring names, noting he planned to go by 'Matt Morris' before he opted to keep his given name.

"Btw you may see 'Matt Morris' on a few shows as back when I booked some things it was the name I was planning to use. But going forward I will be using my given name, bringing a touch of my true self to that on-screen persona. I am The Drama King. I am Matthew Rehwoldt," he tweeted.
