Mattel Bringing Back WWE Retro Figures

Retro figures are returning!

WWE Retro figures will once again return to store shelves.

Mattel announced during the WrestleMania 37 action figure reveals that Retro's will be returning at some point down the line and more information will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in the summer. They didn't leave fans empty-handed, though, and early designs for future "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mean" Gene Okerlund figures were shown off during the reveal.

Mattel previously announced the return of Retro figures back in 2016 and fans could get their hands on the likes of Kane, Sting, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Chris Jericho and Iron Sheik in the following years but the line was discontinued some time ago.

The figures are ultimately based on the popular Hasbro WWF figures which were produced from 1990 until 1994 and are the same 4.5-inch scale. Similar packaging was also used, but they did feature an added articulation point of kicking legs on some figures, which wasn't available on the original Hasbro toys.

Alongside the return of Retro's, Mattel announced further waves of Master Of The WWE Universe figures and much more.
