After 649 days, Kay Lee Ray's reign as NXT UK Women's Champion is over.

Meiko Satomura defeated KLR in the main event of last night's edition of NXT UK to win the gold. Both women fought back and forth for 18 minutes and The Final Boss picked up the win after decking Ray with a Death Valley Driver and her Scorpio Rising Kick.

Streamers then filled the ring inside BT Sport Studios and Satomura celebrated as NXT UK went off the air.

This was the second match between Kay Lee Ray and Satomura in a rivalry that had been bubbling away since February. KLR won their first encounter in March but Satomura earned another shot at the gold after winning a number one contender's gauntlet match in May.

With the win, The Final Boss adds another accomplishment to her already legendary career. She has previously held gold throughout Japan, including the World Of Stardom Championship and the AAAW Title. She also co-founded Sendai Girls' Pro-Wrestling and held the promotion's world title for 371 days in 2015 and 2016.
