IMPACT Wrestling have announced the return of Knockouts Knockdown, with the all-women’s show set to air on IMPACT Plus on October 9.

Set to take place at the IMPACT Zone in Nashville, Tennessee, Knockouts Knockdown will be taped this weekend on September 17, and will feature the return of Christy Hemme to IMPACT, as well as the return of Mercedes Martinez, who will be wrestling her first match for the promotion since 2003.

In a press statement released on IMPACT’s website, Gail Kim shared her excitement about the upcoming event:

“I am so excited for Knockouts Knockdown, when females from across the wrestling landscape will take over The IMPACT Zone, with female wrestlers, referees, announcers and more.”

IMPACT has also announced that a Monster’s Ball match will take place at the event to honour the memory of Daffney, who competed in the first ever women’s Monster’s Ball against Taylor Wilde at Sacrifice 2009.

“There is so much planned, so much excitement for Knockouts Knockdown – I know the fans will be excited to watch it live this weekend, starting Friday afternoon, at The IMPACT Zone in Nashville. Doing something to honour Daffney’s memory is something that everyone involved with the event and others are thrilled to be able to do.

“She was a great wrestler and a better person. No one will forget Daffney; we want to honour her.”

The last Knockout Knockdown was back in March 2017, and like others before it pitted IMPACT Knockouts against independent stars.
