Amid rumours that she is set to become a free agent soon, Mercedes Moné has provided an update on her future.

Moné confirmed to TMZ that she has one match left on her deal with New Japan Pro-Wrestling that will see her wrestle at NJPW Resurgence on May 21 in Long Beach, California. Moné will compete in a tournament to crown the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women's Champion. She will face CMLL's Stephanie Vaquer in the semi-finals and if she wins, Moné will face either Willow Nightingale or Momo Kogho in the final.

If Moné and NJPW will come to terms on another short-term extension is unknown, but the former Sasha Banks hinted she has major plans outside of pro wrestling, telling TMZ: "I have so many auditions in the bank. I have movies coming up. I have TV shows coming out. I don't know what's next in my chapter, but I know that I have so much lined up... I can just expect that it's going to be the absolute best."

Moné has already experienced success in Hollywood as she portrays Koska Reeves in The Mandalorian.

The former Sasha Banks has been a part of NJPW and STARDOM since Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January 2023. She is a former IWGP Women's Champion, having recently dropped the belt to Mayu Iwatani on April 23.
