Mercedes Moné Comments On Potential WWE Return

Mercedes Moné’s return to in-ring competition was an overwhelming success, with Moné toppling Kairi for the IWGP Women’s Championship at NJPW Battle in the Valley over this past weekend.

The win topped of Moné’s first match since a May 2022 WWE house show event, and despite riding high in New Japan Moné admitted you can ‘never say never’ about returning to WWE, saying the following to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi pre-Battle in the Valley:

“I guess people like to say ‘never say never.’ You never know in life. I never knew life would take me here, but I always have to follow my heart so wherever my heart takes me is where I’m going to go,” said Moné.

However, earlier in the interview Moné admitted she ‘definitely didn’t think’ she was ever going to step into the MMA world, and said the following regarding her chances of a WWE return or a fight with Amanda Nunes:

"Probably the same chances. She's ready to go, I'm ready to go too. I took on Ronda (Rousey), I can do it,” said Moné.
