Mick Foley will make his debut for All Elite Wrestling this coming weekend at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
AEW CEO Tony Khan has announced that Foley will co-host the AEW Double or Nothing Buy In with Renee Paquette. Foley commented on his AEW debut, writing on Instagram:
"FOLEY IS ALL ELITE! I am extremely happy to be making my debut with @aew - joining @reneepaquette on the #DoubleOrNothing pre-show. Looking forward to seeing @tonyrkhan for the first time in many years (we had lunch fifteen years ago) and meeting up with AEW’s amazing roster."
Rumours in recent weeks noted that AEW had expressed "real" interest in working with Mick Foley at some point in 2026 and it would not be a surprise if he appeared at Double or Nothing if a deal could be worked out. Foley debuting in AEW comes together after the hardcore legend severed ties with WWE in December 2025 due to the company's close links to President Donald Trump, with Foley noting his WWE Legends deal was set to expire in June 2026.
There were previous plans for Mick Foley to actually wrestle in AEW for one final match around his 60th birthday in June 2025. This involved MJF mapping out a six-week programme with Foley, but those plans were scrapped after Cactus Jack/Mankind/Dude Love suffered what was believed to be a concussion during in-ring training in 2024.
Potential animosities between Mick Foley and MJF may be rekindled, though, as MJF stated to The Takedown on SI that he isn't a fan of the WWE Hall of Famer.
"I think Mick Foley is fat, and he's ugly. And I think he was the blueprint for what Darby Allin is now, which makes me hate him even more. That's what I think of Mick Foley," MJF stated.
After the announcement of Foley's AEW debut, MJF simply tweeted, "…….great."
