Mickie James Provides Update On In-Ring Future

Mickie James recently suggested she could be done with wrestling

Mickie James recently suggested that she may be ‘done’ with pro wrestling, with the 20-year-plus veteran possibly eyeing life away from the squared circle.

The former IMPACT Knockouts Champion and WWE Women’s Champion was asked about her future by MYTV26 at Stocktoncon, with James saying the following:

"I don't know. I'm a mom, my son is eight this year. I think I'll always do stuff with wrestling, in some capacity. I enjoy doing things like this [conventions], it's a way to reconnect with fans. I don't really know what's next, that's the beauty of it," said James.

IMPACT recently announced that Mickie James will be appearing at Lone Star Stampede on August 28 to ‘make an announcement’ but as of yet there is no indication as to what this may be.

After initially Tweeting that she may be ‘done’ with wrestling, James followed up on Twitter responding to a fan:

“I appreciate you. Honestly I’ve been so blessed & love my fans so much! I wouldn’t have had all this without you. What is left for me to prove anymore? What else can I do? Id rather bow out screaming “Womens Wrestling Matters” from the top of the mountain than the valley.”
