Mickie James Thinks IMPACT Wrestling & WWE Will Work Together Again

Collaborate again in the future

While WWE have largely remained aloof from the rest of the wrestling world, particularly in recent years, the company collaborated with IMPACT Wrestling for the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble and IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James appeared in the match, entering at #20.

Footage of James' Rumble appearance then aired on IMPACT, marking the first time WWE programming had aired on an IMPACT show.

If WWE and IMPACT will collaborate again remains to be seen but Mickie James believes both promotions will work together in the future.

"I think yes. I don't know that it will be immediately, I think this was an opportunity for WWE to test the water, to see if it was something, people talk and they say 'This will be great and this will get a lot of ratings and this will be a big buzz' but until it's actually in front of them I think they can't actually see it.... I feel that now that they see the potential and how much the fans responded to it, the idea of it happening with the men, or with the world championships, or something like that, now, at least the idea of that possibility and that door is open," James told Denise Salcedo.

While she hasn't appeared in WWE since, 'Hardcore Country' has been busy in IMPACT Wrestling and she is set to defend the Knockouts Title against Tasha Steelz at No Surrender on February 19.
