MJF Thinks AEW Are Restoring The Feeling

MJF thinks AEW are in a rebuilding phase

Much has been made in recent months of the “feeling” in AEW being lost. With the controversy regarding CM Punk’s backstage issues and firings, rumblings of low morale amongst roster members, and criticism of the on-screen product, it has been an uphill battle for Tony Khan’s company in recent times.

One person who believes AEW is on the up is the reigning AEW World Champion MJF, who thinks that the company has in fact been “restoring the feeling”. When speaking on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, MJF discussed how proud he is to be leading the line as AEW rebuilds.

"Look, my best friend got hurt. Of course, it blows. But with professional wrestling, the show must go on. I feel that we as a company have just definitely proven we have such a stacked, incredible roster, and with me at the helm, the houses are starting to go up again. The show, in my opinion, has gotten better and better every week. Nature is healing. I feel like the company right now, there was a minute there where it felt like we were kind of in this rebuild phase, and I feel like right now, we’re really building some serious momentum. There are fans online that say ‘restore the feeling,’ and I dig that line. I’m pumped because I feel like we are and we have, and we’re continuing to do so, and I’m proud to be at the helm of that.”

Whether or not the “feeling” has returned to AEW is something which is up for debate amongst fans, but MJF certainly believes things are looking positive for the promotion going forwards.

AEW looked to make the "feeling" official this week as the promotion filed to trademark, 'AEW: Got The Feeling.'
