More Details On WWE Raw Promo References To Fired Wrestlers Reportedly Emerge

The lines prompted heavy discourse

A couple of lines in promos on the November 29 episode of WWE Raw led to heavy discourse on social media in the aftermath, and more information regarding the decision to reference the departures has now reportedly emerged.

Both Edge and Liv Morgan made clear references to wrestlers who had been released by WWE in recent weeks on last week's episode of Raw.

It is noted, according to Fightful Select, that Edge has much more personal say over what goes into his promos and, if the WWE Hall Of Famer had not been happy with referencing John Morrison's release, it would not have been said.

It is noted by the report that sources say Vince McMahon did not directly script either of Edge's or Liv Morgan's respective lines about Morrison or The Riott Squad leaving WWE, but neither did he move to nix them either. Had McMahon been uncomfortable with the references, they certainly would have beeen removed.

There have been no reports of 'heat' on any individuals regarding the lines, with one source saying such scripts were 'just another part of the show'.
