More Reactions To AEW Revolution Ending

The ending of the main event has ‘divided’ fans and pro wrestlers alike

In the aftermath of AEW Revolution all talk turned to one thing; the ending of the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch between AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley.

In what was hyped up to be a huge explosion that threatened the safety on Moxley, it turned out to be not much more than a few sparklers and some smoke. Whether accidental or by design, the ending has conjured up images of the infamous IWA King of the Deathmatch tournament from the 90s, and has both ignited debate and received criticism online.

While several AEW stars like Miro have tried to play it off, others have chimed in with their two cents.

Bully Ray summed up his feelings on Twitter, quoting Vince McMahon: “The only thing they remember, is the finish. – Vincent Kennedy McMahon. @BustedOpenRadio #AEWRevolution"

Several WWE Superstars couldn’t help but have light-hearted digs at the ending, with Shotzi Blackheart Tweeting a gif of Gillberg and his underwhelming pyro, whilst Retribution’s T-Bar Tweeted the following:

“Tune in tomorrow night at 8PM EST for an explosive new episode of @WWE Monday Night RAW on the @USA_Network! #RETRIBUTION” It will be interesting to see how AEW deals with the main event’s ending on Dynamite this Wednesday.
