Mustafa Ali Returns To Action At WWE SmackDown House Show

Back from injury...

Several weeks ago, Mustafa Ali was removed from the WWE Championship match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, due to injury. Ali reportedly suffered a concussion at a SmackDown live event in Fort Wayne, IN on February 10, while working a match with Samoa Joe. Ali was notably replaced in the Chamber match by Kofi Kingston

Saturday night, Ali returned to action at the SmackDown house show in Minneapolis. He lost to WWE Champion Daniel Bryan in a title match, after a distraction from Erick Rowan, followed by Bryan's running knee.

Earlier in February, Ali had worked some WWE Championship matches at live events, particularly the weekend prior to his concussion. He, along with Samoa Joe, took on Bryan in triple threat matches for the belt.

It is not clear at this time when Ali will return to television. Fastlane seems like it could be a stretch, as SmackDown already has three official matches on the card. WrestleMania seems more likely, as there's five whole weeks to reincorporate the man once known as, "The Heart of 205 Live" .
