After months of speculation, MVP finally arrived in All Elite Wrestling, with the former WWE and NJPW star making his debut at Grand Slam Dynamite IV in Arthur Ashe Stadium.

MVP interrupted a Prince Nana promo on Dynamite, with MVP putting over Nana’s client Swerve Strickland as the most dangerous man in AEW, before pointing the finger of blame at Nana for Swerve losing his title, and having his house burned down. MVP then gave Nana his card and told him to pass it to Strickland if he wants to talk ‘business’.

Reports from Fightful Select and PWInsider confirmed that MVP has indeed signed a deal with the organisation, with the latter claiming the two sides agreed on a deal ‘about a month ago’.

Even prior to exiting WWE after the expiry of his deal in August 2024, MVP has continuously been linked with a move to AEW, with recent reports suggesting the inaugural IWGP Intercontinental Champion could be joined by former clients Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in the company, resurrecting their WWE Hurt Business stable, potentially under the name ‘Hurt Syndicate’.
