Nature Of Eric Bischoff's Role At This Weeks WWE SmackDown Live Revealed

Eric Bischoff revealed earlier this week that this week's SmackDown Live was to be his first on the job as Executive Director of WWE's blue brand.

However, with Paul Heyman working alongside Vince McMahon during recent Monday Night Raw broadcasts, the nature of Bischoff's role in Miami has been a little more up in the air.

We have some insight as to what Eric may have been doing last night thanks to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. Johnson has been led to believe that Bischoff took on more of a watching brief as this week's SmackDown was put together as he continues to integrate himself back into the WWE fold.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Johnson's report states: "Eric Bischoff was at the SmackDown taping in Miami. He was there, he sat in on production meetings. I was told Eric wasn’t leading the meetings, he was there. He more or less was just observing and taking it all in and is going to begin the process of morphing into the Executive Director of SmackDown.”
