New WWE NXT Rule For Move To The CW Revealed

NXT will have time constraints on The CW network

During its time on the USA Network, WWE’s NXT has often been granted overruns, which allows the developmental brand more time to finish off matches and to drive viewership numbers up. NXT is not going to experience this same luxury when moving over to their new station, The CW network, a relationship which begins next month on Tuesday, October 1.

There are several changes coming to NXT, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one of which is that the show will have to end at exactly 9:59 p.m. each and every week, which is due to the fact that many of The CW stations have 10 p.m. news.

Another change is that WWE are looking to push the idea that main roster stars from RAW and SmackDown can show up at any time, which is why The Bloodline members of Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa showed up in a surprise appearance in NXT earlier this week, interfering in the NXT Tag Team Championship match between The Street Profits and champions Axiom & Nathan Frazer.
