Next WWE NXT TakeOver Set For Valentine's Day

The 33rd TakeOver in WWE history...

WWE announced during last night's NXT that the first TakeOver of 2021 will take place on Valentine's Day, Sunday, February 14.

WWE.com wrote:

"Love is in the air — and so is NXT's next showcase event!

"The next edition of NXT TakeOver will come your way on Valentine's Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, at 7 E/4 P on the award-winning WWE Network.

"The NXT Universe just saw a spectacular New Year's Evil, with Finn Bálor retaining the NXT Championship against Kyle O'Reilly, Karrion Kross taking down Damian Priest, and more. What's in store when the black-and-gold brand takes over next month?"

The next TakeOver will be WWE's first major event on Valentine's Day since 1999. The company broadcast St. Valentine's Day Massacre that year from the Memphis Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee.

The pay-per-view was main evented by a Steel Cage Match between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Vince McMahon which featured the debut of The Big Show, under his real name Paul Wight. The match ended after Show threw The Texas Rattlesnake into the cage, causing it to swing open and gift Austin the victory.
