Next WWE Video Game Confirmed

Another WWE 2K video game is on the way

WWE 2K will once again become an annual release.

2K's parent company Take-Two Interactive released their Q2 2022 earnings this week and it was announced quietly within a list of upcoming titles that WWE 2K23 will be released next year. No further details about the upcoming video game were revealed.

2K have published WWE's video games since 2013 beginning with WWE 2K14, a game that was widely praised. The titles that followed received a mixed reception but were generally regarded as solid additions to the franchise until 2019's WWE 2K20 that was released as a bug-laden mess. The game would eventually be patched but consumer confidence was shattered to the point that WWE 2K21 was scrapped and the series took a three-year break until WWE 2K22 was released earlier this year to a positive reception from critics and fans.

Since then, several DLC packs have been released for 2K22 which has seen the likes of Logan Paul, Doink The Clown, Davey Boy Smith, and Rob Van Dam be added to the video game.
