Dolph ziggler world heavyweight title win

Nic Nemeth is currently reigning as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, winning most of his matches over the last year. He didn’t always have this sort of luck, even during his brief time as World Heavyweight Champion in WWE. In the lead up to his iconic Money In The Bank cash-in on the post-WrestleMania 29 episode of Monday Night RAW in 2013, he had been losing a fair amount of matches.

In an interview with Jon Alba on the Takedown on SI, Nemeth explained how he was informed by Vince McMahon that his losing streak would be a thing of the past after winning the title… only to then lose the following week.

"Like when I became world champ, the first match I had, I remember Vince told me once, 'you finally cash in this contract, you won't lose every single night. Everyone forgets about it. It's all out the window. You're the world champ. I cash in. I was the world champ. The next Monday, I lost a five-minute match. Jack Swagger and I went, 'what the f***' are we doing here? Like what?'"

He went on to lose three more times before losing the World Heavyweight Championship in his very first defence. Nemeth recently spoke on a potential Royal Rumble cameo due to the WWE & TNA partnership, noting that it would be cool.
