Nick Aldis Teases Former WWE Names In The NWA

With the mass WWE releases this past year, never mind the upcoming hiatus of ROH, there are scores of free agents looking for work in the pro wrestling business, and Nick Aldis has teased that some could be making their way to the NWA. 

Appearing on the Keepin it 100 podcast ahead of NWA Hard Times 2 this coming Saturday, Aldis said the following when asked if NWA were talking with released WWE talent:

“Possibly. I’m sure there will be some new faces. I dare say… look, there’s a whole bunch of guys and girls now who are looking for somewhere to hang their hat and get some work. It’s a weird time.”

Aldis added, “[Mike] Bennett and [Matt] Taven will be at the pay-per-view. Rhett Titus is coming in from the Ring of Honor exodus. There are going to be new faces and intermingling. What we’ve seen in the past couple of years is only going to increase now in terms of more cross-breeding. Don’t be surprised if you see me show up somewhere else and other people you associate with the NWA show up somewhere else.”

Hard Times 2 is also set to feature an IMPACT Knockouts Title match, whilst former ROH and IMPACT World Champion Austin Aries will be in action elsewhere on the card.
