The Young Bucks recently competed in the third Blood & Guts match in All Elite Wrestling history, with the Golden Elite emerging victorious from the double cage after a blood spattered fight with The Blackpool Combat Club and associates Konosuke Takeshita, and PAC.

However, the match didn’t go off without a hitch, as The Young Bucks revealed on the Swerve City podcast that they experienced frustration with the bout:

“I look at Matt and Hangman […] and I’m like, ‘Dang it! That wasn’t the best match! I wanted this to be the best match!’ And Matt’s like, ‘Are we all healthy?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ ‘Can we walk?’ ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘Oh, you’re right,’” said Nick Jackson, when talking about having to end the match earlier than planned.

“I go, ‘Then who cares?’ I go, ‘I’m going to Hawaii,’ because I knew I was planning a trip to Hawaii,” added Matt Jackson, after earlier admitting that Nick  was ‘livid’.

Matt continued; “I even said, ‘Did you try your best?’ I remember I said that to you. You’re like, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘I did too.’”

“That was in the ring. It’s not backstage. We’re literally — the bell rang, we’re raising our hands and I’m like, ‘Dang it,” added Nick, with Matt revealing the two watched the match back that night:

“And then he’s funny because later that night, he and I, we were eating Wendy’s upstairs, just the two of us watching the match back and we were popping for everything and at the end of the hour, we’re like, ‘That was freaking great.’”

Blood & Guts ended the long-running Elite vs. BCC war, with The Young Bucks now back in the tag division and set to face AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR at All In on August 27.
