Nikki Bella says she 'can't help but get frustrated' at the manner in which Bianca Belair lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to a returning Becky Lynch at WWE SummerSlam 2021.

Lynch made her shock return to WWE at SummerSlam on Saturday, replacing the absent Sasha Banks in the Title match against Belair. The Man punched Belair and hit a Man-Handle Slam to pick up the win, and the Championship, in a 27-second match.

While fans are undoubtedly thrilled to see Lynch again, the booking of the match and the treatment of Belair - who has been built up since winning the 2021 Royal Rumble and claiming gold in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night One - has left a significant portion of the audience disappointed.

WWE Hall Of Famer Nikki Bella is one of them.

Speaking with Scott Fishman at the post-SummerSlam media scrum, Bella said: "I can tell you what wasn't my favourite moment, and it was when she [Bianca Belair] lost. That definitely was not my favourite moment.

"I don't know if I actually had a favourite moment because, you know, I always back the women and I'm always for the women and you have someone like Bianca, who's such an incredible talent, and you can't help but get frustrated when you see moments like that, of a championship that meant so much, and was lost within seconds.

"So I have to admit, for this SummerSlam, there truly wasn't anything that was my favourite."
