NJPW's Will Ospreay Open To Wrestling In AEW

Ospreay to AEW?

Could Will Ospreay be the next big name to step through the forbidden door?

Since a working relationship was established between All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, several NJPW competitors have appeared in AEW, including Minoru Suzuki, KENTA, Satoshi Kojima, Ren Narita and Yuji Nagata.

While no plans appear to be on the horizon, Will Ospreay has revealed he would be open to wrestling in AEW if the opportunity arose.

"I'm always open to it because it does interest me, but until it's actually an option and it's in front of me, I have no interest in doing anything else outside of what New Japan wants for me," Ospreay said at a NJPW online meet and greet.

"I am a New Japan guy. Even though I'm a sh*thead half the time and an asshole to deal with, I do genuinely care about the company and where it goes. I think the company would be so much better with me and all my friends at the forefront of New Japan's future.

"Sorry in advance, but things have to change, and I'm going to do it my way. In terms of that forbidden door, sure, if it's open, but I think it's only open for 50-year-old blokes at this rate. By the time I'm 40, I'll be able to make my debut."

Ospreay later revealed he would love to face Kenny Omega but he doesn't see the match happening anytime soon. Omega revealed on Wednesday's Dynamite that he would be taking some time away from AEW to "fix" things and The Best Bout Machine will likely need to undergo multiple surgeries, according to reports.

AEW have been interested in using Will Ospreay in the past and Chris Jericho revealed he reached out to the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion during the early days of the promotion.
