No DQ Match Official For IMPACT Emergence

New match set for IMPACT Emergence

A No Disqualification Match has been made official for IMPACT Emergence. The IMPACT Plus special is set to air on the promotion's streaming service on Sunday, August 27.

The match will see Deaner try to finish Eric Young's story at Emergence. Deaner and EY were previously aligned in Violent By Design but Deaner brutally stabbed Young to write him out of IMPACT Wrestling in late 2022. Young was believed to have been killed off but following his return at Slammiversary, it was revealed that Young managed to survive because he is an unkillable idea.

Young was written out of IMPACT because he had agreed to return to WWE. EY never resurfaced on WWE TV, though, and he exited the company after asking for his release following Vince McMahon's re-emergence as head of creative in April 2023.

Other matches announced for IMPACT Emergence include Trinity vs. Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts World Title, SANADA vs. Jake Something, and Subculture vs. The Rascalz for the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles.
