United Kingdom independent wrestling promotion NORTH Wrestling will be featured on next week's episode of Dragons' Den, it has been revealed.
NORTH owner and promoter Andrew Bowers will seek investment in the pro wrestling promotion from the dragons on the long-running BBC One series during the Thursday, October 23 episode. Bowers, along with wrestlers Rory Coyle and Man Like Dereiss, will make their pitch to Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Steven Bartlett, Sara Davies, and Touker Suleyman.
During their appearance on the show, Bowers will outline NORTH's vision, business model, and growth potential. The promotion is actively seeking investment in order to expand operations.
"Appearing on Dragons' Den was an incredible opportunity. We're passionate about taking our brand of professional wrestling to the next level and I'm sure our pitch is one they will remember for a long time. The north is our home and where we have laid our roots, but we're excited to share our love for professional wrestling with a wider audience and show the rest of the UK exactly what we have to offer," Andrew Bowers said.
Founded in 2016, NORTH Wrestling is primarily based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, but the promotion has begun to hold shows in Leeds in recent months. Their latest event in Leeds - This is NORTH - will emanate from Project House on Sunday, October 19.
NORTH Wrestling will return to Newcastle's Anarchy Brewery for a weekend of shows on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16.
