Notable Talent Returns To AEW At 9/1 Dark Tapings (SPOILERS)

Guess who's back?

The September 1 AEW Dark tapings at Chicago's Now Arena played host to the return of a notable AEW talent, one that's been out of action for close to a month.

During a match pitting Anthony Bowens against Griff Garrison of The Varsity Blonds on Wednesday night, Bowens' Acclaimed partner Max Caster made his return, helping Bowens win the bout.

Caster was at the center of controversy, following references he made in a rap on the August 3 episode of Dark. In his verses, Caster made references to Olympian Simone Biles' mental health issues, the 2006 Duke lacrosse case, the validity of COVID testing, and also made a sexual remark toward AEW performer Julia Hart (an associate of Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr).

The episode of Dark was re-uploaded with the rap edited out.

Caster had been absent from AEW since then. Reports indicated that Caster had been suspended from AEW for two months.

In a subsequent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan expressed his regret that Caster's rap made air, and said that he would be taking over the editing of Dark and Elevation going forward.
