'Nothing To Read Into' Cody Rhodes Not Being On The WWE Money In The Bank Poster

Nothing much to Cody Rhodes not being on the WWE Money in the Bank poster

There was suddenly doubt over Cody Rhodes' status for one of WWE's biggest events of the year as the American Nightmare wasn't featured on a recent poster for the 2024 edition of Money in the Bank. The pay-per-view is set to take place at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on Saturday, July 6 as part of a bumper weekend that will also feature SmackDown on the Friday night and NXT Heatwave on Sunday, July 7.

WWE's poster for Money in the Bank instead featured the likes of LA Knight, Bayley, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, The Miz, Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, and Ricochet. Although Cody isn't on the poster, there is "nothing to read into" the situation, according to Aaron Varble of SE Scoops

"I've been told that there is 'nothing to read into' Cody Rhodes being absent from the MITB poster. Also, they are still discussing the MITB winners, but nothing has been nailed down yet. As I said last week, they're just now getting to booking Backlash. Side Note: We still have a Señor Money in the Bank going around..." Varble tweeted

Rhodes would be expected to appear at the event, especially as the expectation is he will finally finish the story and defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40. Rhodes initially wasn't going to face Reigns at WrestleMania but The Rock changed his mind and decided WWE should go with Cody.
