IMPACT Wrestling celebrated their 20-year anniversary on Sunday, June 19, and the Slammiversary pay-per-view aired from the Nashville Fairgrounds (AKA TNA Asylum) in Nashville, Tennessee.

As expected, the show featured plenty of surprises as past stars from TNA appeared on the broadcast either in-person or via video message.

Fans didn't have to wait long for the first surprises of the night as James Mitchell, Slash, Shark Boy, Chase Stevens, and David Young all appeared during the Reverse Battle Royal on the Slammiversary pre-show, with the match being won by Shark Boy after he decked Johnny Swinger with a Stunner.

Six-time NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted then returned to IMPACT once the pay-per-view got underway and James Storm and Chris Harris toasted IMPACT with The Good Brothers and The Briscoes following their tag team title match.

Another influential part of TNA's history then made an appearance as former TNA President and majority shareholder Dixie Carter returned to IMPACT ahead of the 10-man tag team match between Honor No More and IMPACT Originals and she revealed Davey Richards was the final member of Team IMPACT. That match then continued to pay homage to TNA as Christy Hemme served as the ring announcer, while D'Lo Brown, Traci Brooks, and Earl Hebner would all get involved, with Hebner counting the pinfall for the IMPACT Originals.

Spaced throughout Slammiversary were also video messages from Sting, Kurt Angle, and AJ Styles and all three of the TNA legends discussed their favourite memories of IMPACT before they toasted to another 20 years of the promotion

Backstage interviewers even made a return as Scott Hudson interviewed the IMPACT Originals, while Goldy Locks had her own backstage interview with Gail Kim. A video package honoured original TNA Announcers Mike Tenay and Don West on the broadcast too.
