NWA Resuming Tapings In March

Also, news on video content comes this week

Fans of the National Wrestling Alliance couldn't help but notice that all video content was pulled from their YouTube channel over the weekend. While some feared that this was an ominous sign, Dave Meltzer has reported that there's apparently good news coming.

Meltzer reported Sunday that the NWA will hold a set of TV tapings from Sunday, March 21 through Wednesday, March 24, in resumption of original content.

Additionally, Meltzer adds that a "positive announcement" is coming, in regards to the recent pulling of their video content. Meltzer adds that the announcement has nothing to do with AEW.

The NWA has not formally held TV tapings for Powerrr since the end of January 2020. Their most recent events were a spate of "Shockwave" tapings during the autumn months.

Since the start of the pandemic, Billy Corgan's group has worked out deals with both AEW and UWN to have their champions appear for title defenses. Serena Deeb and Thunder Rosa have made numerous appearances for AEW under that pretense. NWA World champion Nick Aldis made a successful defense of his championship against Mike Bennett at a UWN event in September.
