NWA's Trevor Murdoch: Making Big E WWE Champion Was The Best Decision

Murdoch is a fan

After 12 years with the company, Big E finally reached the top of the mountain in WWE in September 2021 after he defeated Bobby Lashley to win the WWE Championship.

The wrestling world was largely ecstatic for the New Day man's world title win and another individual happy for Big E is NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast about who could give him a tough fight, Murdoch noted WWE putting the title on Big E was the "best decision" for the company.

"I am the real Worlds Heavyweight Champion, I am the toughest man in the business right now. The only person that I think would probably be able to give me a tough fight right now, a real tough fight is Big E and that's because [of] how big he is and how strong he is and if you watched his career, he has learned so much within the last two years that him as world champion is, for that company, it was the best decision for them. [Big E is] very deceptively fast," Murdoch said.

Murdoch previously wrestled for WWE from 2005 until 2008. He has since joined the NWA and he ended Nick Aldis' 1043 day reign as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion in August of this year.
