NXT's Raul Mendoza has been given a new name
NXT star Raul Mendoza is the latest WWE talent to be given a new name.
Form now on, Mendoza will be known as Cruz Del Toro. His WWE.com profile has been updated to reflect the name change.
The Legado Del Fantasma member was signed by WWE following the Cruiserweight Classic tournament in 2016. Since then, he has exclusively competed on NXT and 205 Live.
WWE will often change the name of their stars, even when they have been performing on television with another name for a significant period of time.
Within the last couple of months, for example, they have changed the name of WALTER to Gunther and Pete Dunne to Butch, drawing criticism from fans.
It should be noted that Raul Mendoza is Cruz Del Toro's real name.
