All Elite Wrestling were recently on the receiving end of a warning from the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission over booking Nyla Rose on the company's TV tapings from Oklahoma City in December 2023.

Rose, who is transgender, defeated Alejandra Lion at the December 20, 2023 taping of Ring of Honor TV on HonorClub. Having a transgender wrestler perform in Oklahoma is against OSAC rules and a motion by Dr. Larry Lovelace stated AEW would face consequences if they broke the rules again.

The pro wrestling community quickly rallied behind Rose, including AEW President Tony Khan who said he was "really surprised" and "disappointed" by the OSAC warning. There were reactions to the warning within WWE NXT too, according to Fightful's Corey Brennan, who noted that multiple people in NXT condemned the ruling.

Nyla Rose has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since the promotion's founding in 2019 and she was the second-ever AEW Women's World Champion. Rose has been a regular in Ring of Honor for the past several months. She unsuccessfully challenged Athena for the ROH Women's World Title in February in a two-out-of-three falls match.
