Oney Lorcan Vs. Timothy Thatcher Set For WWE NXT Great American Bash

During last week's episode of NXT, WWE announced they would be reviving The Great American Bash for the July 1 and July 8 editions of the black and gold brand. Five matches have already been announced for the show including Io Shirai vs. Sasha Banks and Adam Cole vs. Keith Lee in a Winner-Take-All match. 

NXT started to add the finishing touches to night one on Sunday as general manager William Regal announced Oney Lorcan will go one on one with Timothy Thatcher. 

The bout came about after Lorcan tweeted: "IM TELLIN YOU RIGHT NOW IF YOU DONT GIVE ME TIM THATCHER IM GONNA START KICKING EVERYBODYS ASS."

Regal quickly noticed Oney's outburst and replied: "You are nothing, if not excitable, Mr. @ONEYLORCAN. I'm pleased to say you will NOT need to take any further action as I'm granting you a match against Timothy Thatcher THIS WEDNESDAY on #WWENXT."

• Rhea Ripley vs. Aliyah & Robert Stone - Rhea Ripley will join the Robert Stone Brand if she loses
