Original Plans For Big E's WWE Money In The Bank Cash-In Reportedly Emerge

Big E cashed in on Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw

WWE Monday Night Raw saw Big E cash in his Money In The Bank contract to defeat Bobby Lashley and claim the WWE Championship.

However, according to a new report, the plans around Big E's cash-in and subsequent victory to become WWE Champion were changed by the promotion.

According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, the original plans for Big E were for him to cash in his Money In The Bank contract on Bobby Lashley on the date that was originally scheduled to be the 2021 Draft on Raw.

The 2021 Draft, which WWE confirmed as taking place across Friday 1 October and Monday 4 October during Raw, was reportedly initially scheduled to occur in the week following SummerSlam 2021.

Reports at the time suggested that the 2021 Draft would begin on Monday 30 August, on Raw, with other reports indicating back then that plans included a switch to the red brand for Big E.

Hypothetically, the plans may have seen Big E drafted to Monday Night Raw early on in the evening before ending the show with a cash-in on Bobby Lashley, taking the WWE Title from the All Mighty.

Instead, Big E ends Lashley's WWE Championship reign at 197 days, after he defeated The Miz for the title on March 1 2021.
