Original WWE WrestleMania 35 Main Event Finish Reportedly Revealed

Becky Lynch still would have won the Raw and SmackDown Live women's titles, but...

WWE WrestleMania 35 went off the air with 'The Man' Becky Lynch holding both Raw and SmackDown Live Women's Championships in the air.

However, per the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that wasn't the initial finish Vince McMahon et al had planned for the closing stages of this year's Grandest Stage Of Them All, with changes reportedly coming about due to how long the show ran for.

Here's what Dave Meltzer penned in this week's WON, for the avoidance of any doubt: "The idea that the show would end with Lynch and Charlotte Flair having an issue since Flair lost her title to Lynch without being pinned didn’t transpire. Lynch won, and they ended the show and got out of there because it was so late."

It's an interesting one as the alleged change to the finish to WrestleMania appears to have changed Becky's storylines coming out of the event. Instead of Charlotte Flair looking to get some sort of revenge, recent NXT call-up Lacey Evans has been the one to confront Lynch.
