Pat McAfee Challenges Happy Corbin To Match At WWE SummerSlam

The announcer wants to step back inside the ring

WWE SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee has challenged Happy Corbin to a match at next month's SummerSlam pay-per-view.

The challenge stems from an altercation between the two on last week's SmackDown, after Corbin lost to Madcap Moss in a "Last Laugh" match. McAfee would lead the crowd in "laughing" Corbin out of the arena.

Michael Cole stated that Corbin would respond to McAfee's challenge on next week's SmackDown.

McAfee has wrestled four matches for WWE over the past couple of years. Two of them took place in NXT in 2020 (a singles loss to Adam Cole, and a loss to The Undisputed Era in a four on four WarGames match). The other two occurred at WrestleMania 38 in April - a win in a scheduled match over Theory, and an immediate loss to Vince McMahon in an impromptu match.

WWE SummerSlam takes place on Saturday, July 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. So far, the only official match for the card will pit Universal champion Roman Reigns against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match.
