Possible Spoiler On GUNTHER's Post-WWE SummerSlam Plans

Current WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER is set to defend his title against Drew McIntyre at this weekend's SummerSlam event. The show will take place at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on August 5, but last night's episode of Raw may have provided a clue as to GUNTHER's post-SummerSlam plans.

Raw saw GUNTHER take on Chad Gable in a match that was initially ruled a five-minute draw, only for GUNTHER to demand more time and ultimately pick up the victory. However, Gable has since cut a promo on Raw Talk demanding a rematch. The Alpha Academy member said: 

"Well, GUNTHER. Get yourself ready. Because on the other side of SummerSlam, Master Gable’s turning the coaching techniques on himself. Take care of your business. I’ll be waiting for you [...] Because I’ll go five hours any day of the week, baby. Get yourself ready."

GUNTHER has held the Intercontinental Championship since defeating Ricochet in June 2022. His upcoming opponent, McIntyre, faced GUNTHER at this year's WrestleMania alongside Sheamus in a triple-threat match. Ultimately the champion was able to retain, and the match received critical acclaim.
