Powerhouse Hobbs Wins Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match

Will receive a TNT championship match next week

Powerhouse Hobbs will receive an AEW TNT championship match on next week's Dynamite, after winning an eight-man Face of the Revolution ladder match on Wednesday's Dynamite in San Francisco.

Hobbs outlasted a field that included Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, Action Andretti, Konosuke Takeshita, AR Fox, and Komander. Late in the match, Hobbs prevented Takeshita from retrieving the brass ring by plowing into the ladder with a charging shoulder block, knocking Takeshita off. Hobbs then climbed the ladder and retrieved the ring himself to win.

After the match, TNT champion Samoa Joe (who was on commentary during the match) went to confront Hobbs, but was attacked on the stage by Wardlow. Joe escaped, leading to Wardlow beating up a series of security guards, while Hobbs watched from ringside with a smile.

Joe defends his TNT title against Wardlow at Revolution this Sunday night.

This is the third year AEW has run a Face of the Revolution ladder match. Scorpio Sky won the 2021 match, while Wardlow won the 2022 version. Both men failed in their subsequent TNT title challenges, losing to Darby Allin and Sky, respectively.
