Thirty-two of the world's very best in-ring talent, under the weight of 205 lbs, took to the tournament in the bid to become WWE's Cruiserweight Champion. The competition came to a close in September 2016, narrowing the field from the 32 initial competitors to just one.
With WWE NXT reportedly putting a greater focus on their Cruiserweight division going forward, what better time than right now to revisit the WWE tournament which kicked off five years ago today?
