Randy Orton Believed To Have Been Told To Stop Wrestling

Randy Orton might be done in the squared circle

Randy Orton's in-ring career may be over.

According to his father "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Randy has been told by doctors not to wrestle again.

Cowboy Bob told Bill Apter of Sportskeeda:

"He's training so we'll see what happens. I don't know if he feels like going back. If he feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might. Then again, he's pretty well taken care of. I don't think he needs to and I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy is going to do what Randy is going to do, he always does."

Orton has been out of action since May 2022 with a serious back injury and he underwent back fusion surgery later in the year. Rumours around WrestleMania 39 suggested the 14-time world champion could return at the event but Orton's back injury is so severe that he was "nowhere close" to an in-ring return as of early April.

It emerged earlier this year that Orton had ordered new boots for an in-ring return, which suggests he was at least planning to come back to WWE at that time.
