Raw Women's Title Match Added To WWE SummerSlam

The first official match for the card

A match for the Raw Women's championship has been announced for the 2021 SummerSlam, and it will be a triple threat encounter.

New champion Nikki A.S.H. will defend her title against both Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley. The match was made during the opening segment of Monday's Raw from Kansas City.

Nikki opened Raw, but was interrupted by Flair. Ripley then made her way to the ring, which eventually led to Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville announcing the triple threat title bout for SummerSlam.

It was also announced that Nikki would face Flair in a non-title match later on during Raw.

Flair defeated Ripley to win the Raw Women's title at Money in the Bank in Fort Worth on July 18. One night later, after Ripley brutalized Flair following a rematch on Raw, Nikki cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase she'd earned the night before. She pinned Flair in a matter of seconds to win the title.

The triple threat is the first match made official for SummerSlam. Universal champion Roman Reigns vs. John Cena, WWE champion Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg, and Edge vs. Seth Rollins, are all likely to be announced soon.
