The Street Profits have been absent from WWE programming for quite some time, but the reason behind this has been revealed.

Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins last wrestled on television back on the October 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown in a losing effort against the WWE Tag Team Champions The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis). They did appear on a recent episode of WWE’s Main Event show, beating the Los Garza pairing of Berto & Angel, but this match was taped two months ago. Prior to these two matches, they wrestled just one time on television in September, meaning that the former mult-time tag team champions have competed on WWE programming just three times since August.

The absence of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins is not reportedly due to any issues or injuries. It has been revealed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason behind them not being used is due to WWE wanting to give the act some time to “freshen up”. Whether this means a character or gimmick refresh and change is coming is unclear.
