Real Reason Mercedes Moné Signed With AEW

Reason behind Mercedes Moné signing with AEW revealed

The CEO is All Elite, after Mercedes Moné made her official All Elite Wrestling debut at Dynamite Big Business in Boston on March 13.

Moné’s arrival had been expected for some time, and during an interview with Sports Illustrated, Moné revealed why she chose AEW:

“I want to be here, I need to be here, and it’s because of the women’s division. The women here laid the foundation. They’re the reason I want to be in AEW. We’re going to make so much magic here,” said Moné, echoing sentiments she shared during her promo on Dynamite.

Moné continued, noting how she wants to lead the division:

“This is a global revolution, that’s why I’m here. You don’t think I can take this around the globe? Well then, let me show you I can. My heart is here. My dreams are here. I love wrestling. I’m a leader, and I’m going to lead.”

The former Sahsa Banks was on-screen during AEW All In 2023 in Wembley, teasing a future appearance for the multi-time former world champion. Although now officially All Elite, it’s expected that Moné will still work dates for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and sister company STARDOM.
